Tamworth Borough Council
Disabled Facilities Grants in Tamworth are administered by Tamworth Borough Council, while the needs assessment is carried out by an Occupational Therapist from Staffordshire County Council. The OT recommends the adaptation, the council handles the grant application and means test, and quotes are requested against that recommendation.
The mandatory Disabled Facilities Grant in England is capped at £30,000 towards essential adaptations. Most level-access shower conversions come in well under that figure.
